Fundraising and Community Partnerships

FUNDRAISING and COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

The Fundraising & Community Partnerships Unit performs various, highly important functions which link St George Hospital and Community Health Service with the people of the St George area.

The department has developed strong links with service clubs, community organisations and volunteer groups, and has formed key partnerships with the corporate sector.

Fundraising

The Fundraising and Community Partnerships Unit is the official fundraising centre of St George Hospital and Community Health Service. Money raised through fundraising activities contributes to the provision of improved infrastructure and medical equipment for patient care.

Funds are raised through a variety of events and initiatives, including the Kogarah Fair and Charity Bed Race, trivia nights, fashion parades, monthly craft markets, raffles, book and craft stalls, charity film premiers and direct mail through newsletters to regular donors.

Apart from its own events, fundraising staff link into the events calendars of external organisations that conduct fundraising activities for the benefit of the hospital. The department provides a liaison role between the hospital and the organising body and is able to provide assistance with information, administrative functions and the co-ordination of hospital representatives to attend special functions.

External Fundraising:

Once your application has been reviewed and approved you will be provided with an authority to fundraise on behalf of St George Hospital and Community Health Service.
