Geographic Information Systems Analysis

The Ageing Research Centre is involved in the application of clinical research data to broader population-based health questions and issues. One of the technologies being utilised to investigate population ageing and health issues is GIS (geographic information system) technology.

GIS software is being used to analyse and map clinical findings from the SOPS study at a population level. The centre is also partnering with other organisations to use SOPS data and GIS to model likely outcomes of population ageing such as demand for home care services in New South Wales.
