The Nutrition Development Division is staffed by Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs ) who provide nutritional care and education to:
- people living with HIV (PLHIV) and/or Hepatitis C (PLHCV)
- partners, families, and carers of PLHIV or PLHCV
- clients accessing the Albion St Centre needle and syringe program
- health care providers including university students.
The Division has expertise in clinical and community nutrition, resource development, education, project planning and implementation. The dietitians provide technical advice, training and resource material for local, national and international health programs.
Mission of the Nutrition Development Division
To enhance the quality of life of people affected by chronic disease, particularly HIV infection and Hepatitis C through working with local, national, and international partners in the implementation of nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
