HALN is a cooperative network of specialist libraries that provide access to a wide range of HIV resources and minimises the duplication of information through effective resource sharing.
HALN maintains a combined database containing references to books, journal articles, videos, conference papers, research reports and unpublished materials held in member libraries. The database deals extensively with clinical, nutritional, medical psychological and social aspects of HIV - as well as the relationship between alcohol and other drugs to HIV. The HALN database is Australia's most comprehensive HIV and AIDS collection, designed to provide access to a wider range of resources for doctors, health care workers and allied professionals, students, researchers and people living with HIV.
The HALN database is published by RMIT as the HIV (HIVA) Database, available by subscription both online and on the quarterly AUSThealth compilation CD-ROM.
