The Albion Street Centre Operates a number of state-wide telephone based services. Staff of the Information Lines take around 5000 calls per year. Anyone can call the lines.
The New South Wales HIV Information Line (02 9332 9700 or 1800 451 600) is a service for the whole of NSW. The Service has operated from the Albion Street Centre since 1985, providing telephone information, support and referral about HIV and related issues.
The HIV Information Line can
- answer caller queries about HIV and related issues
- provide information about prevention and risk reduction, safe sex, safe needle use and infection control;
- refer callers, if appropriate, to professional services at the Albion Street Centre or regionally.

The Needle Clean-up Hotline (1800 633 353) is a service that coordinates the clean up of dumped needles and syringes across the whole of NSW.
The Gay Men’s Health Line (1800 009 448) offers information about issues relating to Gay Men’s Sexual Health.
The PEP Hotline (1800 737 669) is a service offered in partnership with St Vincent’s Hospital, that provides information, assessment and referral service for people who think they may require HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis following a possible high risk expose to HIV. The PEP Hotline Is Not A Phone Line For General Questions About Hiv/Aids.
