Research Support

From 1 July 2007 a new system for the review of research proposals came into effect.  This system involves a separation of the process for scientific and ethical review from that of research governance.  

Under NSW Health Policy Directive all research projects involving humans must be authorised by the Area Health Service Chief Executive, or their delegate, before they may commence at a Public Health Organisation.
