Daffodil Day Fundraiser helps build Cancer Information Centre
The Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day Ball will help raise funds for a
new Cancer Information Centre to be housed at Wollongong Hospital’s
Cancer Care Centre.
Wendy Collis, Nursing Co-Director, Critical Care and Cancer Services
SESIAHS Southern Hospitals Network said the Information Centre will
be an important local health care resource.
“The Information Centre will help connect cancer patients, their
families and friends to cancer information and support services
in the Illawarra.” Ms Collis said.
“The Centre will offer interactive displays such as direct access
to the Cancer Council’s website, a small library with books, brochures
and DVDs and a time out waiting room.”
The Daffodil Day Ball will be held on Saturday 22 August at TIGS
Illawarra Grammar Centre.
