Cultural Diversity Enhancement Grants

SESIH Multicultural Health Service's cultural diversity enhancement grant program, funds project from organisations working in partnership with the Area Health Service, that will improve culturally and linguistically diverse people's access to health services or information, or increase awareness of access issues. Precedence is given to priority populations.

The program provides grants up to $10,000 for projects of one to two years duration. Categories include:
 
  • Population Health Service Development Research and Projects
  • Community Outreach Projects
  • Multilingual resources (SESIH staff only).

About the Grant categories

Population Health Service Development Research and Projects Grants

  • Provide seed funding
  • Dedicated to research/project initiatives that focus on improvements in patient care and health outcomes
  • Encourage capacity building within health services and/or community
  • Aim to expand knowledge and/or impact on management and clinical practice.

     Grants awarded

Community Outreach Grants

  • Support community-based initiatives
  • Focus on informing, educating and promoting good health amongst population groups from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
  • Encourage partnerships between Health Service and the community.
