The NSW Medical Board has the following Critical Prerequisites for registration of International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

Results must have been obtained within 2 years prior to applying for registration.
An exemption may apply when the applicant can provide evidence of secondary education in a country where English is the native or first language.
Primary Source Verification of Documents
From 1 January 2006 all International Medical Graduates applying for registration in New South Wales are required to submit copies of relevant documents to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates International Credentials Services (EICS) for source verification of their authenticity.
