War Memorial Hospital Waverley is an affiliated hospital under the governance of Uniting Care Ageing Sydney Region. The primary role of the hospital is rehabilitation and assessment services for people aged over 60 years.

The hospital provides: inpatients rehabilitation, non-inpatient (outpatient) rehabilitation and podiatry services, dementia and frail aged day care services, and an aged care assessment team, as well as specialist clinics and health promotion activities. Aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) is available.

The Hospital campus also accommodates the SESIAHS/UTS Health and Ageing Research Unit, POWH Home Dialysis services and Elizabeth Hunter Lodge partner accommodation unit.

There are strong clinical links with both St Vincent's Hospital Sydney and Prince of Wales Hospital. The Hospital is affiliated with the University of NSW. It supports students from this and other tertiary institutions in their training and pursuit of qualifications.

The hospital, which is set in tranquil gardens, is located at Waverley and a 10 minute drive from Sydney city centre or a 10 minute walk from the Bondi Junction railway station. It is well served by two major bus routes, and is only minutes from Centennial Park and the beaches of the eastern suburbs.
