Health Promotion Service - Program Areas
Our main program areas are based on priorities identified by NSW Health. The way in which we address these priorities is decided in consultation with local communities.
Since 2004 the Health Promotion Service has formalised the way we encourage
community participation by forming a Community Participation Reference Group
consisting of community members and Health Promotion representatives. The group
provides feedback on how we can improve the range and quality of community
participation in our current and future work.

Our current areas of work are:
- Childhood healthy weight
- Tobacco and health
- Equity and communities
- Falls prevention among older adults
